This course covers all of the topics included in my one day antenatal class and combines it with hypnobirthing. I teach the Judith Flood hypnobirthing course which is a Royal College of Midwives approved course and is the only hypnobirthing course taught by registered midwives. Hypnobirthing helps women remain calm and in control while labouring which helps them to have a positive birth experience. Every birthing woman wants the best for her baby. It is also important for the woman to have a positive birth experience. Research has shown that when a woman is in control during the birth, she is more likely to feel satisfied with her birth experience. Knowledge and a variety of techniques will help the birthing woman and her partner to have a positive experience. Hypnobirthing helps the birthing woman to remain calm and in control during her labour which leads to a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Hypnobirthing also helps the woman to remain calmer during her pregnancy which is better for both the mother-to-be and her baby.
Hypnobirthing teaches techniques which enhance the body's birthing mechanisms. Hypnobirthing also helps the birthing woman to build confidence and trust in her ability to birth and to counter any negative stories and impressions which are shared with her. Her partner has a very important role in assisting her in preparation for birth and during the labour and birth, this role is covered extensively. During this course we also explore how the birthing body works best and how we can help it along. We spend time on massage, positions, breathing, acupressure, mindfulness, scripts and partner script reading. An MP3 and book are included in the price.
